Recovery & Aftercare:

  • BBL healing time after procedure is a as painful as many other surgeries, but what most people experience can be described more as soreness. This kind of pain they feel in the buttocks is a muscular soreness, where they feel discomfort the most
  • Recovery from a BBL takes about six weeks. For the first two, you will need to avoid both sitting and laying directly on your backside. Sleeping will need to be done on your side or stomach, and sitting will require a donut seat or pillow. The seat/pillow may need to be used for up to eight weeks in some cases.
  • When can I walk after a Brazilian butt lift? We'll have you do a very small amount of walking as soon as possible after your procedure. Then, after a few more days, you should be able to move around more easily. Walking is helpful to the healing process and we encourage it after almost any surgery.
  • Do not apply ice directly to the buttocks or incision areas when the target area is numb following the procedure. Patients can develop frostbite as a result.

BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT

Following are some common questions asked by those considering Brazilian Butt Lift

In 1960, a surgeon named Ivo Pitanguy founded the world's first plastic surgery training center in Brazil, where he pioneered what became known as the Brazilian butt lift and taught surgeons all over the globe how to perform his technique.

After a bbl procedure, you may experience some pain, discomfort and swelling in the buttocks, as well as in the areas where fat was harvested such as the abdomen, hips and thighs. For most patients, 80% or more of any pain, swelling, numbness, and soreness are completely gone, if not 100%.

What conditions does it treat? BBL Photofacial treats brown pigmentation such as freckles and age spots. BBL also treats vascular issues such as redness, small blood vessels, and rosacea as well as aging skin, uneven skin texture, and loss of firmness

The results of your Brazilian butt lift are semi-permanent. Due to the fact that your fat cells change over time, it's impossible for your procedure to deliver a truly permanent outcome.

On average, BBL patients often need about 1000cc (1.0L) of harvested fat for a successful and satisfactory result. Patients should keep in mind that a small percentage of fat will die after BBL, but this is taken into account by the surgeon when calculating how much fat to harvest and transfer initially

Often the first question people ask regarding a Brazilian butt lift is whether or not the procedures are permanent. And while we would love to tell you it is 100% permanent, it is a bit more complex than a simple yes or no answer. However, the short answer is yes. A successful BBL will last an exceedingly long time
